Dansville Aggies hosted the Central Montcalm Hornets on Monday afternoon at City Limits in Mason. The undefeated Aggies were looking to add another W to the win column today, and they did not disappoint this crowd.
This 4th year Aggie team really knows how to work together, putting up huge back-to-back Baker games of 191 and 193. The Central Montcalm teams Bakers were 170 and 106, respectively, and the Aggies won the Baker portion of the match, 10-0.
The Aggies line up for the regular game portion of the match was as follows: Jacob VanDouser (So) was the lead off, Hunter Quinn (S), AJ Hoskins (S), and Noel Ward (F) filled the 2-4 spots, while team captain Tyler Sutfin (S) finished up in the anchor position.
Seniors Quinn (227) and Hoskins (219), along with Freshman Noel Ward (233) led the scoring in the first regular match. The team total of 1017 was more than enough to take over the school record, set last season, of 981. They also took 7 of 9 points from the Hornets and led the match, 17-2.
Sophomore Kevin Every stepped in for VanDouser for the second game. Again, it was Seniors Hunter Quinn (222) and AJ Hoskins (203) leading the team in scoring, finishing with a team game of 927, for a school record setting series of 1944, besting the previous record by 122 pins.
The final: Dansville 27, Central Montcalm 3
The Aggies play again on Thursday, 3:30 p.m. at Char Lanes in Charlotte, where they’ll face Potterville. Hope to see you there!
