The Aggies earned a hard fought victory over the Trojans on Saturday. Defense saved Dansville once again as the offense got the shots they wanted but couldn’t convert enough. Jared Bristle led the defensive attack up front, finishing with six steals to go with his four points..
Jalen Nelson carried the scoring load for Dansville, finishing with 24 points and adding 8 rebounds. Peyton Newkirk added seven points and three steals. Carson Voss tallied five points and three assists.
Sam Hodgson finished with 4 points and 16 rebounds, helping the Aggies to an almost 2 to 1 advantage on the boards. He also added three assists and was awarded the “Adam Jones” award for unselfishness by Bristle. Many other great contributions were made by the entire roster, including Zach Sykes (tough defense), Ian Wix (big rebounds), Junior Keith (strong inside play), Nate Stec (good ball control, taking charges and good leadership) and Jeremiah Maurer (scoring his first points, good attitude and good defense).
Dansville improves to 4-0 on the season and sits at 2-0 in the CMAC. Dansville will next host Maple Valley on Monday.
