Dansville came out strong at the Nikki Blatter Tournament in Homer on Saturday. Losing in the Semi Finals in the Gold Bracket. Dansville pulled out of pool play undefeated seeded #1 for the day with a total of +104 points in the pool against Homer, Burr Oak and Litchfield.
Aggies pulled these games off easily without a whole lot of struggle. Still losing points however behind the serving line.
Aggies took their first game in bracket play against Pittsford. Pittsford gave Dansville a good game with some strong hitters. Our front line was really strong on the blocks which was a huge confidence boost to the team. When the block was missed the back row was strong getting the ball up for a nice set which the hitters crushed. The hype the Aggie’s lost over the last couple weeks seemed to back on the court and the Ladies were in sync pretty well delivering the win.
And although the Aggies lost in the Semi Finals against Camden Frontier, it was a great game. Camden had some hitters that just hit through our block and quicker than our back row could get to the ball. We strategically were able to pull off some great plays and our hitters were on all day. In the end the Aggies felt good about what they left on the court.

Stat Leaders for the weekend were:

MacKenzie Olson 32 Digs, 16 Serve Receive Targets, 15 Kills
Jenna Schild 13 Aces, 57 Assists, 6 Kills
Erin Sherwood 18 Kills, 6 Solo Blocks
