Dansville started the tournament against CMAC competitor Fulton. Dansville taking both sets 26-24, 25-22, the girls took a little bit to warm up and were quiet on communication. Some great saves by Briggs and Sorenson, as well as solid passes from Olson kept the ball in court helping Schild put an offense together and keep the Aggies moving forward with points.

Aggie’s started with their first set against Lansing Everett still struggling with back row communication, however were able to come through the first set 25-23. With more communication in the back row for the second set against Lansing Everett, 25-9, the girls were able to show who the better competitor was. The girls really pulled together in the second set and played at their comfort level. Schild and Sherwood were connecting, downing balls just past the 10′ and finding Everett’s open areas for placement. Aggies found their ground during this game for the rest of the day.
Girls moved on to play Webberville after a two match sit out. They showed they were the better competitor out of the gate dominating the net and digging anything Webberville sent over. Schild used Mayhew at middle to put some solid balls down at the net this match. Rist went on a 7 point run behind the serving line with several aces. The Spartans just couldn’t keep up with the Aggies in this match. 25-10, 25-16
Dansville came out of pool play undefeated 6-0. Seeded into the Gold Bracket against CMAC Bath. Aggies played strong in the first set defeating Bath 25-17. They came out hard. With Krumbach struggling earlier in the day, she was back at the net strong, following her start was Olson and Mayhew with solid kills. 2nd Set Bath came out and found some holes in the Aggie’s defense and were able to place the ball, on top of a solid middle hitter that dominated the net against our block. Bath won 25-15 forcing the semi-finals into a third set. Dansville fought hard coming out strong and ahead but just couldn’t pull the win 15-13 Bath.

Lady Aggies finished the day 3rd in the Gold Bracket. Proving to be a solid competitor at the Spartan Invitational. Aggies ended the day 7-2, 3rd out of 13 teams.

Next Game is Monday at Home against Lumen Christi Catholic HS at 5PM for a Tie-Dye Out!
